While it is simply impossible to imagine what was going on in the persons mind
who modified this coin, it would appear to be that they intended to make this
coin into jewelry. It is of course impossible to determine exactly when
the coin was modified, but the patination within the cuts on the coin indicate
that it was in ancient times. |
